We specialise in residential development, commercial development and asset management. Key Milestones
1962
George Martin was incorporated, originally as a transport company bought to deliver goods to anywhere in the UK.
George Martin then became involved in construction, mainly in the Basildon area, but the name continued as George Martin, even after the change of industry.
1986
George Martin was tasked with the construction of the new prestigious MJT Securities Group Headquarters in Basildon.
This moved all group activities to a 60,000 square foot development and it was carried out with little effect on any of the Group's activities.
1995-1997
George Martin undertook the construction of two new automotive dealerships for the Toomey Group.
A new £1 million purpose-built Nissan Showroom was constructed, as well as a £1.5 million Renault Showroom.
2002
George Martin completed the construction of another showroom for the Toomey Group, this time for Peugeot.
The £2.1 million project was a 1,400 square meter building, with new technology and building techniques. This helps to show the range of projects George Martin can handle.
2006
George Martin undertook the management of the build for Brimsdown Retirement Apartments, an idea created by our former owner.
This unique build would be completed in 2006 and George Martin still completes all maintenance for the building and the residents living there.
2008
George Martin was tasked with the build of a state of the art motor village complex, which was completed in 2008.
In December of this year, the motor village was completed for sister company Toomey Motor Group and 3 global motor brands moved into their purpose build units.
2014
George Martin undertook the development of Laindon High Road, which included 13 two, three and four bedroom homes.
Once again proving the wide range of projects that George Martin has experience in handling.
2017
George Martin completed another 2 automotive dealerships for the Toomey Group at the Southend Site.
A purpose built Nissan and Citroen dealership were constructed, which finished the inital development off for the Rochford Automotive Retail Park.
Land Development
George Martin owns and has access to sites and large areas of land that we are open to opportunities through development. The available land is predominantly located throughout the Essex area.
With our property and asset management and development experience, we have all the necessary contacts and experience in order to facilitate projects and assist with offering bespoke design and build solutions, that meet the requirements of proposed projects.
