The seventeen-acre Toomey Motor Village in Rochford is home to approximately 150 staff and the Rochford Vauxhall, Renault, Peugeot, Citroen, DS, Nissan and Dacia dealerships. The site also houses the Toomey BP Petrol Filling Station, shop and KFC restaurant and drive-thru. Alongside the client, George Martin assisted in negotiations to purchase the site and subsequently lead the design and development of the motor park.

George Martin managed the construction phase with a site-based Project Management team. The construction phase saw the construction of the three 25,000 square foot car dealerships housing the Toomey Vauxhall, Renault and Peugeot dealerships. Alongside the dealerships, the petrol filling station and C&D building were completed within 12 months between November 2007 and November 2008.  

Further Group expansion lead to the need for additional on-site development, with the addition of the new Nissan and Citroen dealerships in 2017. Each dealership offers sales space and associated office amenity totalling nearly 7,000 square foot net internal area. The external areas were hard landscaped to match the existing motor park and take advantage of the existing underground infrastructure designed during the initial phase. 

George Martin has subsequently undertaken full corporate image upgrade refurbishments of the dealerships, external signage and elevations.

As part of the petrol filling station upgrade George Martin undertook alterations to create the provision for Costa Express and Subway.

George Martin provides Facilities Management services to the development including reactive and planned maintenance, landscape, IT and cleaning services.
