Overview

As part of the ongoing investment within the portfolio, Toomey Motor Group are investing in the refurbishment and reconfiguration of a number of properties within their portfolio. George Martin has been asked to provide Project Management services for the client. MG Basildon is relocating from their existing showroom within the Vauxhall dealership, to the current Citroen one. In turn, Citroen is moving from its current location to the Vauxhall Dealership, to team up with the other PSA brands.

Both projects are located within the Toomey Motor Village and as such require detailed planning and programming to reduce the impact on the business and the customers experience. Working closely with the manufacturers designers, George Martin will oversee works that will include the relocation of staff, strip out of existing finishes, upgrades to the IT and phone network, installation of new corporate features and finishes and the procurement and installation of bespoke furniture. Work will start October 2022 with completion in November.

As works progress at Basildon, George Martin will be overseeing a new addition to the Toomey Motor Group with the refurbishment and rebranding of an existing dealership at the Rochford Motor Village. George Martin will create two car showrooms within an existing building. Both will have their corporate imagery to ensure brand distinction. As at Basildon, work will be extensive but carefully planned and programmed to allow business to continue as normal.
